Immunochemistry makes use of immunoassay kits, such as the standard enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA); enzyme-linked immunosorbent spot (ELISpot); enzyme immunoassay (EIA); chemiluminescent immunoassay (CLIA); and RNA and DNA transcription kits. These kits include species-specific antigens, conjugates, enzymes, blocking reagents, and coated microtiter plates, along with a standard for comparison.

Laboratory instruments used for immunochemistry include various wavelength microplate readers, luminometers, fluorometers, spectrophotometers, radio flow detectors, etc., to measure immunoassay results. Standard equipment for performing immunoassays includes water purification systems; water bath shakers; incubators; autoclaves; and gel electrophoresis systems.
