New Pressure Monitor & Limiter for Small Animals

Supplier: Harvard Apparatus, Inc 21/11/2013

Description

Harvard Apparatus-Hugo Sachs Electronik has just released the NEW Pressure Monitor & Limiter; an ideal tool for any small animal volume controlled ventilator.

The Pressure Monitor & Limiter is the perfect peripheral to protect rodent lungs, including mice, from typical barotrauma caused by mechanical ventilation.

Pressure monitoring features an analog output of the ventilation pressure signal allowing researchers to collect system pressure and make corrections to optimize the ventilation of their animals.

Pressure limiting protects animal lungs by allowing researchers to set a system pressure limit. Any condition that causes the pressure to exceed that limit causes a valve to open and the excess pressure to be exhausted.

The Harvard Apparatus-Hugo Sachs Electronik Pressure Monitor & Limiter feature:

•    Peak inspiratory pressure range 10-50cmH2O
•    Continuous ventilation pressure measurement
•    Ideally sized for mice or rats & guinea-pigs
•    TTL output of valve status
•    Analog output of pressure signal
•    Audible alarm
•    Suitable for any small animal mechanical ventilator, i.e. Model 683 or Minivent

Harvard Apparatus-Hugo Sachs Electronik ventilators are well known for their reliability and longevity. The Pressure Monitor & Limiter can expand their function to improve the safety and success of small animal surgeries.
