2-Methoxyestradiol (2-ME) is major estradiol metabolite that acts as a potent inhibitor of endothelial cell proliferation and angiogenesis. It displays little affinity for classical estrogen receptors. Solubility: ~10mg/ml (DMSO), ~10mg/ml (EtOH) Molecular Weight: ~302.41 Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
