A substrate for b-Glucuronidase that is converted by the enzyme into an intense blue prepicitate. It is used for the detection of the Gus gene in bacterial colonies, e.g. Escherichia Coli, or for histochemical applications.

May be stored at RT for short-term only. Long-term storage is recommended at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
