Actins are highly conserved proteins ubiquitously expressed in all eukaryotic cells. Three main groups of actin isoforms have been identified in vertebrates; alpha, beta and gamma. Alpha actins are found mainly in muscle tissues.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 2ug/ml Human smooth muscle actin has a predicted length of 377 residues and a MW of 42kD.
Immunohistochemistry (formalin fixed and paraffin): 0.2-2ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS, pH 7.4, to concentration of 0.1-1mg/ml.. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
