The rabbit anti-actin polyclonal antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to N-terminus of human a-smooth muscle actin. This peptide sequence is identical in rat, mouse, chicken, bovine, etc. The other actin isoforms, such as a- and g-cytoplasmic, a-skeletal, a-cardiac actins, are not stained by this antibody. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: 1-10ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Excitation: 490nm Emission: 520nm Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
