Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in various types of cell motility and are ubiquitously expressed in all eukaryotic cells. In vertebrates three main groups of actin isoforms, alpha, beta and gamma have been identified. The alpha actins are found in muscle tissues and are a major constituent of the contractile apparatus. The beta and gamma actins coexist in most cell types as components of the cytoskeleton and as mediators of internal cell motility. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunofluorescence: 1:25-1:50 (cells) and 1:100 (vessel sections) Immunohistochemistry (FFPE or frozen): 1:50-1:75. Incubate for 30 minutes at RT. Immunocytochemistry: 1:75 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Leiomyoma Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
