CITED2 is an important transcriptional cofactor involved in multiple organ development. It is a cAMP-responsive element-binding protein (CBP)/p300 interacting transcriptional modulator and a proposed negative regulator for hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF)-1_ through its competitive binding with HIF-1_ to CBP/p300. CITED2 is necessary for mouse fetal liver hematopoiesis and is required for the proper formation of the hyaloid vasculature and for lens morphogenesis.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
