A fungal metabolite that acts as a potent HDAC inhibitor (IC50 = 4.7uM for HDAC1). It reverts ras- and src-transformed NIH3T3 cells to a flat phenotype (1ug/ml). Solubility: DMSO Molecular Weight: ~212.24 Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
