N-methyl D-aspartate receptor subtype 2C (NMDAR2C) is an NMDA receptor subtype of glutamate-gated ion channels that possesses high calcium permeability and voltage-dependent sensitivity to magnesium. NMDAR2C is mediated by glycine. Phosphorylation of Ser1244 has been shown to regulate NMDA receptor channel function.
