Recombinant RFP (wild type, sequence corresponding to RFP, Discosoma spp.) is intended for use as a control when using polyclonal or monoclonal RFP in immunological assays, in fluorometry, and in fluorescence activated cell sorting (FACS). Polyclonal RFP can detect RFP by ELISA and western blot. Biotin conjugated polyclonal RFP used in a sandwich ELISA is well suited to titrate RFP in solution when used in combination with unconjugated RFP. This product can be used as a control in western blots.
Recombinant protein corresponding to Red Fluorescent Protein, expressed in E.coli.
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot and as a control for polyclonal or monoclonal anti-RFP in immunological assays. Other applications not tested.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
