An anti-diabetic (antihyperglycemic) drug of the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) class. Inhibition of the enzyme DPP-4 is thought to increase Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) which inhibits glucagon release, stimulates the insulin release and lowers blood glucose. Solubility: ~100mg/ml (DMSO), ~50mg/ml (H2O) Molecular Weight: ~523.32 Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
