Carl Zeiss has combined the high end Cell Observer microscopy platform with the CSU-X1 spinning disk technology from Yokogawa to generate a fully integrated, turn-key imaging system. The Cell Observer SD enables long term imaging of living cells and organisms with minimal phototoxicity.

The system features fully integrated temperature and CO2/O2 control, high resolution or EMCCD cameras, and precise piezo focusing.

Use the Cell Observer SD for long term 4D imaging (hours to days) of cell division and embryonic development and high speed imaging for vesicle trafficking, calcium signaling, and intracellular events.

The Cell Observer SD can be used with the ZEISS DirectFRAP module for FRAP, photoactivation and other photomanipulation experiments.
