Alpha-fetoprotein is a serum protein produced during fetal development and by hepatocytes. High levels of expression in adults is associated with hepatoma or teratoma.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Immunohistochemistry (formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissues).: 2-5ug/ml
Optimal dilution determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol, PBS. Aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
