The A375 cell line was established by D.J. Giard in 1973. This cell line was derived from a 54 year old female with malignant melanoma. The cell line produces rapidly growing amelanotic melanomas in anti-thymocyte serum treated NIH Swiss mice. According to our sequencing, WB and PCR results this cell line carries a BRAF V600E mutation.
