AcCoA Carboxylase (Ser79), phosphorylated (Azide Free)

Acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC) is a complex multifunctional enzyme system. ACC is a biotin-containing enzyme which catalyzes the carboxylation of acetyl-CoA to malonyl-CoA, the rate-limiting step in fatty acid synthesis. There are two ACC forms, alpha and beta, encoded by two different genes. ACC-alpha is highly enriched in lipogenic tissues. The enzyme is under long term control at the transcriptional and translational levels and under short term regulation by the phosphorylation/dephosphorylation of targeted serine residues and by allosteric transformation by citrate or palmitoyl-CoA. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants divergent in the 5' sequence and encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml. Detects phospho-Acetyl CoA Carboxylase (Ser79) in mouse heart cytosolic lysates. Mouse heart cytosolic lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with A0225-05A. Proteins were visualized using an IgG (HRP) goat anti-mouse and a chemiluminescence detection system. \nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\n*Recommended secondary antibodies:\nI1904-06C: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo\nI1904-06H IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo\n\nRecommended Positive Control: \nAcid Extracts from HeLa cells\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
