ACTB, NT (Actin, Cytoplasmic 1, Beta-actin)

Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in cell motility, structure and integrity, processes that are crucial for tissue development and the development of organism. The actin cytoskeleton is one of the principal drivers of cell motility and is capable of responding to complex signaling cascades. Recent evidence suggests that it may play key roles in regulating apoptosis and aging. B actin is one of six different actin isoforms which have been identified. Like GAPDH, B-actin is constitutively expressed at high levels in almost all tissues and cell lines making it ideal for use as a loading control marker in immunoblots.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml\nImmunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 1ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
