Actin, alpha, Smooth Muscle

ASM-1 represents an excellent marker for myogenic soft \ntissue tumors and smooth muscle differentiation. \nPolypeptide reacting: specific for a-smooth-muscle \nisoform of actin (Mr 43,000). Tumors specificallly \ndetected: leiomyosarcoma, leiomyoma, certain stromal \ncells surrounding infiltrating ductal carcinoma of breast. \n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry . Other application not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nImmunohistochemistry (Frozen and paraffin-embedded tissue requires protease treatment): 1:100 with PBS, pH 7.4 Incubation Time 1 hr at RT; extended with paraffin.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol, ddH2O. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C Aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
