Actin, alpha, Smooth Muscle

Represents an excellent marker for myogenic soft tissue tumors and smooth muscle differentiation, cultured stress fibers of smooth muscle-derived cells, and some smooth muscle subtype fibroblasts.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry (frozen and paraffin-embedded tissue as well as cytological material). Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilutions: \nImmunohistochemistry: Ready-to-use on frozen sections. Paraffin embedded sections require protease pretreatment prior to antibody application. Incubate 1 hour at RT; extended with paraffin.\nOptimal dilution to be determined by researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Tumors specificallly detected: Leiomyosarcoma, leiomyoma, and certain stromal cells surrounding infiltrating ductal carcinoma of breast. Species Crossreactivity: human, bovine, equine, rat, mouse and chicken.
