Fetal actin can be localized in regenerating skeletal muscle after injury (in satellite cells) and in veins of the umbilical cord. \n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilutions:\nELISA: 1:500 (see Note below).\nWestern Blot: 1:1000 (using the ECL-enhanced procedure)\nNote: It is necessary to include 1M sodium chloride for application in Western Blot and ELISA to enhance specificity. \nImmunohistochemistry (frozen and paraffin): 1:10. It is necessary to include 0.5M sodium chloride in all washing buffers for application on frozen tissue. This is not necessary for paraffin sections. Microwave treatment is necessary for paraffin sections.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
