Activins are dimers consisting of two beta subunits. Several types of beta subunits have been described. These beta subunits can also heterodimerize with a constant alpha subunit to form Inhibins. The b-c subunit homodimerizes to form Activin C and has also been reported to heterodimerize with the b-A subunit.
Applications:
Suitable for use in RIA, Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml
Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml
Immunohistochemistry: 5-15ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
