ADAM 17, CT (A Disintegrin And Metalloproteinase 17, TNF-a Converting Enzyme, TACE, TNF alpha Converting Enzyme, CD156b)

ADAM-17, which is also known as CD156b, is expressed in a wide range of cells in culture. Its biological role is to convert the transmembrane trimeric form of TNF alpha to the soluble form. CD156 is also reported to process a number of other proteins, including L-selectin and TNF p75 receptor.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.\n\nRecommended Dilutions:\nWestern Blot: 1:500\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months.
