ADAM 17 (Disintegrin and Metalloproteinase Domain-containing Protein 17, Snake Venom-like Protease, TNF-alpha Convertase, TNF-alpha-converting Enzyme, CD156b, CSVP, TACE, ADAM17)

ADAM-17, CD156b, which is also known as CD156b, is expressed in a wide range of cells in culture. Its biological role is to convert the transmembrane trimeric form of TNF alpha to the soluble form. CD156 is also reported to process a number of other proteins, including L-selectin and TNF p75 receptor.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1-3ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control:\nHela lysate\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
