ADAM 22 (A Disintegrin And Metalloproteinase 22)

ADAM 22 belongs to the ADAM gene family which have been shown to bind integrin and therefore may have a part in cell to cell or cell to matrix interactions. ADAM 22 is unique in the fact that it is only observed in the nervous system and predominantly in the brain. ADAM 22 is attached by cytoskeletal scaffolds to the postsynaptic density and is a receptor for LGI1.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence. Other applications have not been tested. \n\nRecommended Dilutions: \nImmunohistochemistry: 1:400 detected ADAM 22 in rat myelinated neurite tissue.\nImmunohistochemistry (Parafiin): 1:400 detected ADAM 22 in neurons/myelin in putamen area. Heat-induces epitope retrieval in citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended.\nWestern Blot: Detect ADAM 22 in rat and mouse brain tissue lystaes.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. \n\nPositive Control: \nRat myelinated neurite tissue\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
