The A1 Adenosine Receptor is involved in smooth muscle contraction, control of heart rate, sedation, and lipolysis. Expression of the adenosine A1 receptor has been reported in the central nervous system, particularly in the cerebral cortex, hippocampus, thalamus, striatum, and cerebellum, and in peripheral tissues including heart, adipose, testis, and kidney. ESTs have been isolated from brain, breast, eye, kidney, salivary gland, and testis libraries. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 16ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Rat brain, neurons Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
