AFF4 (AF5q31, AF5Q31, MCEF, AF4/FMR2 Family Member 4, ALL1-fused Gene from Chromosome 5q31 Protein, Major CDK9 Elongation Factor-associated Protein)

Key component of the super elongation complex (SEC), a complex required to increase the catalytic rate of RNA polymerase II transcription by suppressing transient pausing by the polymerase at multiple sites along the DNA. In the SEC complex, AFF4 acts as a central scaffold that recruits other factors through direct interactions with ELL proteins (ELL, ELL2 or ELL3) and the P-TEFb complex. In case of infection by HIV-1 virus, the SEC complex is recruited by the viral Tat protein to stimulate viral gene expression.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nImmunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 1ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nAA Sequence:\nMNREDRNVLRMKERERRNQEIQQGEDAFPPSSPLFAEPYKVTSKEDKLSSRIQSMLGNYDEMKDFIGDRSIPKLVAIPKPTVPPSADEKSNPNFFEQRHGGSHQSSKW*\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
