AIP (aryl hydrocarbon receptor interacting protein, ARA9, FKBP16, FKBP37, XAP2, HBV-X associated protein, aryl hydrocarbon receptor-interacting protein)

Atrophin-1 (AIP1) contains a polyglutamine repeat, expansion of which is responsible for dentatorubral and pallidoluysian atrophy. The protein encoded by this gene interacts with atrophin-1. This encoded protein is characterized by two WW domains, a guanylate kinase-like domain, and multiple PDZ domains. It has structural similarity to the membrane-associated guanylate kinase homologue (MAGUK) family. This protein is brain specific, where it appears to be widely expressed in both neurons and glia.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilutions:\nELISA: 1:64,000\nWestern Blot: 0.02-0.06ug/ml \nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control:\nLysates of cell line NIH/3T3\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 monthsat -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
