Albumin, Bovine Serum (ALB, Albumin, Allergen Bos d 6, BSA, DKFZp779N1935)

Bovine Serum Albumin detects BSA. Serum albumin is the main protein of plasma. It has a good binding capacity for water, Ca2+, Na+, K+, fatty acids, hormones, bilirubin and drugs. Its main function is the regulation of the colloidal osmotic pressure of blood. ALB is the major zinc transporter in plasma; it typically binds about 80% of all plasma zinc. BSA is ideal for investigators involved in cell signaling, neuroscience and signal transduction research.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nELISA: 1:120,000\nWestern Blot: 1:2000-1:10,000\nImmunohistochemistry: 1:1000-1:5000\nImmunoprecipitation: 1:100\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
