alpha-Fetoprotein is a major plasma protein in the fetus. Its concentration is normally low in the adult except when produced by certain tumors.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 0.1ug/ml detects alpha-Fetoprotein in recombinant human alpha-Fetoprotein.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile TBS, pH 7.3 (20mM Trizma base, 150mM sodium chloride), 0.1% BSA. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
