Ambra1, a WD40 domain containing protein, is a novel activating molecule in Beclin 1-regulated autophagy and plays a role in the development of the nervous system. The protein binds to Beclin 1 and favors Beclin 1/Vps34 interaction. The Ambra1 gene localized on human chromosome 11p11.2, encodes the protein that is highly conserved in vertebrates only and its expression is mostly confined to the neuroepithelium during early neurogenesis. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human brain lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
