The expression of AR (MW: 70kD) is reportedly inversely correlated with histologic grade, i.e., well-differentiated prostate tumors show higher expression than the poorly differentiated tumors. In prostate cancer, AR has been proposed as a marker of hormone-responsiveness.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Gel Supershif Assay and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 2.5-5ug/ml for 2hrs at RT
Immunoprecipitation: 2ug/mg protein lysate
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 1:50 for 30min at RT
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10min followed by cooling at RT for 20min

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
