AGTR-2, also known as AT2, is a 7TM protein that belongs to the G protein-coupled receptor family 1. Both AGTR-2 and AGTR1 bind Angiotensin II and function in the control of hemodynamics. In contrast to AGTR1, which promotes vasoconstriction and cell proliferation, AGTR-2 inhibits growth and promotes apoptosis. In addition, Angiotensin II-induced AGTR-2 signaling induces the release of nitric oxide in the heart, kidney, and brain and participates in tissue morphogenesis and repair. Human AGTR-2 shares 92% amino acid sequence identity with mouse and rat AGTR-2.

Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Flow Cytometry: 25ug/ml, add 10ul to 1-2.5x10e5 cells in <200ul reaction volume.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Hybridoma:
Mouse myeloma cells with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with HEK293 cells transfected with human Angiotensin II Type 2 receptor (rhAGTR-2; Accession # NP_000677).
Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O or PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
