Angiopoietin-like 3 (ANGPTL3) is a secreted glycoprotein that belongs to the angiopoietin family. It is expressed in the liver and circulates as 70kD, 50kD and 32kD species. These include full length ANGPTL3 as well as the proteolytically separated N- and C-terminal fragments which contain a coiled coil domain and fibrinogen-like domain, respectively. ANGPTL3 promotes an increase in circulating triglyceride levels by directly inhibiting lipoprotein lipase. Mature human ANGPTL3 shares 77% aa sequence identity with mouse ANGPTL3.
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
ELISA:2-8ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Hybridoma:
Fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a rat immunized with purified, Sf 21-derived, recombinant human ANGPTL3.
Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
