ANO2 (Anoctamin-2, Transmembrane Protein 16B, C12orf3, TMEM16B, DKFZp434P102)

Calcium-activated chloride channels (CaCC) are present in many cell types and mediate physiological functions such as epithelial secretion, sensory signal transduction, and smooth muscle contraction. Subunits of these CaCCs include the transmembrane proteins TMEM16A and TMEM16B. TMEM16B is predicted to have eight transmembrane domains with both the amino and carboxy termini in the cytoplasm and is expressed in several tissues including olfactory sensory neurons as well as photoreceptors in mammalian retina. Like TMEM16A, TMEM16B is thought to form at least part of CaCC's but has different biophysical characteristics such as voltage dependence and unitary conductance.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1-2ug/ml\nImmunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/ml\nImmunofluorescence: 20ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control:\nRat Brain Tissue Lysate\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
