Rabbit Anti-acetyl-Histone H4 polyclonal antibody for ICC. Histone H4 (UniProt P02310; P69151; P69152) is encoded by the HHF1 (ORF TTHERM_00498190) and HHF2 (ORF TTHERM_00189170) gene (Gene ID 7823613) in protozoa Tetrahymena. Histone H4 is one of the main histone proteins involved in the structure of chromatin in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Featuring a main globular domain and a long N terminal tail, H4 is involved with the structure of the nucleosomes of the beads on a string structure. Acetylation of histone H4 occurs at several different lysine positions in the histone tail and is performed by a family of enzymes known as Histone Acetyl Transferases (HATs).
