Rabbit Anti-Cmm polyclonal antibody for ELISA. The bacterium is located in the xylem vessels where it can cause lysigenous cavities. Infected vessels contain viscous granular deposits, tyloses and bacterial masses. The pathogen also produces a toxic glycopeptide which has biological activity. The bacterium survives for a long time in plant debris, soil and on equipment and glasshouse structures. It probably does not survive long in soil per se. However, it remains viable for at least 8 months in seeds.
