Anti-Collagen Type IX polyclonal antibody

Rabbit Anti-Chicken Collagen Type IX polyclonal antibody for IF, ELISA. Suitable for use in IFA, ELISA (tested). For immunostaining of extra or intracellular components in light microscopy and the quantitation of Chicken Type IX collagen. In indirect IFA with fluorescein anti-rabbit IgG conjugate, use diluted at 1:40 on frozen chicken cartilage tissues, after a hyaluronidase tissue treatment. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.Type IX collagen is usually found in tissues containing type II collagen, a fibrillar collagen. Studies in knockout mice have shown that synthesis of the alpha 1 chain is essential for assembly of type IX collagen molecules, a heterotrimeric molecule, and that lack of type IX collagen is associated with early onset osteoarthritis.
