Rabbit Anti-Human MCCC2 polyclonal antibody for WB, IHC. Methylcrotonoyl-CoA carboxylase beta chain (mitochondrial or MCCase subunit beta), also known as, 3-methylcrotonyl-CoA carboxylase 2 or 3-methylcrotonyl-CoA carboxylase non-biotin-containing subunit or 3-methylcrotonyl-CoA:carbon dioxide ligase subunit beta, and encoded by the gene name(s), MCCC2 or MCCB, catalyzes the conversion of 3-methylcrotonyl-coa to 3-methylglutaconyl-coa which a critical step for leucine and isovaleric acid catabolism. MCCC2 is localized to the mitochondrion matrix. Mutations in MCCC2 have been associated with Methylcrotonoyl-CoA carboxylase 2 deficiency.
