The sequence-specific transcription factor activator protein 2a (AP-2a) is required for normal growth and morphogenesis during mammalian development. This includes development of the Neural Crest. Decreased or loss of AP-2a expression has been observed in many different types of human cancers including breast cancer, ovarian cancer, melanoma and prostate cancer.
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 5-15ug/ml
Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml
Immunohistochemistry: 0.5-1.0ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
