IL-6 is a potent lymphoid cell growth factor that stimulates the growth and survivability of certain B cells and T cells. IL-6 plays a role in host defense, acute phase reactions, immune responses, and hematopoiesis. IL-6 is expressed by T cells, B cells, monocytes, fibroblasts, hepatocytes, endothelial cells and keratinocytes.

Dilutions:	The MP5-20F3 antibody reacts with mouse interleukin-6 (IL-6). The MP5-20F3 antibody can neutralize the bioactivity of natural or recombinant IL-6. Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by intracellular immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining, the suggested use of this reagent is ?0.25 microg per million cells in 100 microl volume. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
