APC1 is 1 of at least 11 subunits of the anaphase promoting complex (APC), which functions at the metaphase to anaphase transition of the cell cycle and is regulated by spindle checkpoint proteins. The APC is an E3 ubiquitin ligase that targets cell cycle regulatory proteins for degradation by the proteasome, thereby allowing progression through the cell cycle. Cellular Localization: Secreted Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Additional info: Specific for human APC1 phosphorylated at S377. Minimal reactivity is expected with the non-phosphorylated form of the protein. Species Crossreactivity: Crossreacts with Human. Expected to crossreact with Rat, bovine and canine (all show 100% identity with immunogen) due to sequence homology. Also expected to crossreact with Mouse (90% identity with immunogen).
