Apolipoprotein A2 (ApoA2) is a major protein component of serum HDL. It is produced by the liver and is involved in cholesteryl ester formation and cholesterol transport from tissues to the liver. Polymorphisms of ApoA2 are associated with disorders of cholesterol and fatty acid metabolism. ApoA2 can form disulfide-linked 17kD homodimers and heterodimers with other apolipoproteins. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 2.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
