APRIL, Recombinant, Mouse (a Proliferation Inducing Ligand, TALL-2, TNF and ApoL-related Leukocyte-expressed Ligand 2, TRDL-1a, TNF-related Death Ligand 1a, TNFSF13)

APRIL (a proliferation-inducing Ligand), also known as TNFSF13, is a type II membrane protein belonging to the TNF Ligand family. Although low levels of APRIL are found in normal tissues, it is abundantly expressed in tumor cells. Recombinant soluble APRIL stimulates proliferation in Raji B cells, Jurkat T cells and MCF-7 carcinoma cells. Both APRIL and BAFF (BLyS) mediate their distinct biological roles through two receptors, TACI and BCMA. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with ddH2O, 0.1% BSA or HSA. Aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 3 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
