Aquaporin 1 (AQP1, CHIP-28, Channel-forming Integral Protein)

Aquaporin 1 is a 28kD integral membrane protein which was originally identified in red blood cells and renal proximal tubules. AQP1 is also expressed by the choroid plexus and various other tissues. The glycosylated forms of AQP1 range between 40-60kD in mass.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA, Immunoprecipitation and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nELISA: 1:1000-1:10,000\nImmunoprecipitation: 1:1000-1:10,000\nWestern Blot: 1:1000-1:2000\nOptimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher.\n\nHybridoma: \nSp2/0-AG14. myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
