Asiaticoside (Blastostimulina, Centelase, Emdecassol, Madecassol, Marticassol, FK1080, BRN 0078195, NSC 166062)

Antibacterial.\n Human collagen I synthesis inducer. Anti-wrinkle activity. \nShows wound healing activity. Enhances normal human skin cell migration, attachment and growth.\n Suppresses collagen expression and TGF-beta/Smad signaling by inducing Smad7 and inhibiting TGF-betaRI and TGF-betaRII.\nAnti-inflammatory. Anti-gastric ulcer. \nMitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs), nuclear factor-kappaB (NF-kappaB), cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS; NOSII) expression, production of serum tumor necrosis factor (TNF-alpha) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) inhibitor.\n Apoptosis inducer in cancer cells. Enhances antitumor activity of vincristine in cancer cells. Might be useful in cancer chemotherapy.\n Anxiolytic.\n Antidepressant-like activity.\nHepatoprotective effects.\nCYP2C19 and CYP3A4 inhibitor. \nNeuroprotective.\nAntileishmanial activity. \ncPLA2 and sPLA2 inhibitor.\n\n\nStorage and Stability:\nShort-term Storage: +4 degrees C\nLong-term Storage: +4 degrees C\nStable for at least 2 years after receipt when stored at +4 degrees C.
