In mammalian cells, Autophagy-related protein 7 is essential for autophagy conjugation systems, autophagosome formation, starvation-induced bulk degradation of proteins and organelles. Studies indicate that caspase-8 may alter ATG7 levels and thus the ATG7 program of autophagic cell death. ATG7 is evolutionally conserved and exhibits high homology within mammalian species. It expressed in wide range of tissues including kidney, liver, bone marrow and lymph nodes.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1:10-1:50
Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:10-1:50
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Recommended Secondary Antibodies:
I1903-30U: IgG, H&L, X-adsorbed (HRP) ShxRb
I1904-40J: IgG, Fc (HRP) Pab Gt xRb
I1904-40P: IgG, Fc, X-Adsorbed (HRP) Pab Gt xRb
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
