AU5 is a commonly used epitope tag engineered onto the N- or C- terminus of a protein of interest so that the tagged protein can be analyzed and visualized by immunochemical methods. The recognized AU5 epitope represents the amino acid sequence TDFYLK.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Indirect ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:
Indirect ELISA: 1ug/ml
Western Blot: 1ug/ml
Immunohistochemistry: 1:250-1:1000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
