This antibody recognizes an intracellular protein 2G13p which is restricted to growth cones in developing brain and embryonic neurons in culture. The protein 2G13p also appears to be associated with filamentous actin in the growth cones suggesting a role for 2G13p in growth cone motility. This antibody is suitable for use in immunohistological studies of both frozen and paraffin-embedded sections, staining growth cones, including their filopodia and lamellipodies.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry (Fr) (paraffin-embedded sections). Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
