The beta Amyloid peptide is derived from the cleavage of the Amyloid precursor protein and varies in length from 39 to 43 amino acids. Beta amyloid peptides are the major constituents of the plaques and tangles that occur in Alzheimer's disease. Produced in NZ white rabbit. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, ddH2O. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
