Anthrax toxin plays a major role in the pathogenesis of anthrax. Virulent strains of Bacillus anthracis produce a complex exotoxin with 3 distinct antigenic components: the edema factor (EF), the protective antigen or binding domain (PA), and the lethal factor (LF). Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: Capture antibody in a sandwich ELISA Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Recommended Pair: Suitable for use as the capture or solid phase antibody. Matched to B0003-05G2 as the detection or conjugate (label) antibody. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
